The Dairy Goat Crew

The Mini Nubians

ButterCup is our Herd Queen. She’s a lovely MDGA registered F1 Mini-Nubian who is an excellent mother and leader for the rest of the herd.

Blizzard is our current Herd sire and was the first baby goat born on our farm. Blizzard is an MDGA registered F1 Mini-Nubian, proven sire and very protective of his herd.

Daisy is our current Herd Princess – that’s not really a thing but don’t tell her. Daisy is ButterCup’s first daughter with former herd sire Napolean. She is an MDGA registered F1 Mini-Nubian and has recently had her first set of twin doelings, sired by S’mores.

Kara is our beautiful new MDGA registered Mini-Nubian doe who will be having her first kids in the 2025/2026 breeding season.

The Nigerian Dwarf Goats

S’mores is our secondary Buck. He’s ADGA/MDGA registered Nigerian Dwarf and proven sire. This is a little goat with HUGE personality and affection. S’mores sires our ND goats and smaller Mini-Nubian does.

Ava (Avalanche) is the herd queen of the Nigerian Dwarf ladies that joined our herd in early 2025. She spent most of her first 6 months on the farm being polite friendly, but not super into cuddles – which changed dramatically once she became pregnant. She’s been an incredible boy mom, producing 2 very sweet and healthy bucklings in her first breeding.

Gale (Gale Force Winds) was the sweetest lap goat you’d ever meet in the first six months on the farm, she was super affectionate with people and very submissive to the other goats – which also changed completely once she was pregnant. She took no guff from anyone during her pregnancy and is now back to her sweet and affectionate self.

Nami (Tsunami) loves cuddles, treats and meting out justice. She loves scratches and will let you know with a bite or a tug on your shirt that she really didn’t think you were done scratching her yet. Easily distracted by treats.

Liz (Blizzard) is a no nonsense goat who is the most solidly built critter on the farm. She’s absolutely beautiful and well mannered, enjoys people and other goats and can totally act like she’s in labor for a chance to get extra treats and attention.

Tori (Tornado) is a sporty little lady with a lot of personality – she’s the first one waiting at the gate for me to get through with the hay and is one of the most regularly playful goats in the herd.

Our Flocks

Quentin is our main Rooster in charge.

He’s in charge of keeping the hens safe, happy and producing excellent eggs – for eating or hatching. Quentin is an Americauna Rooster and his genes pass on blue egg laying color to his offspring.

Our flock of laying hens is comprised of several purebred breeds and a number of barnyard mixed breed chicks we’ve hatched ourselves. The main breeds for the hens are Americauna, Sapphire Gems, Ancona, Rhode Island Red, Salmon Favorelle, Black Sex Link and Indio Gigante.

We welcomed a new little flock of Pilgrim Geese to the farm in May of 2025. Still thinking of names, but we’ve got one very handsome boy and three adorable girls.

The Apiary

Our hives are full of Italian Honey Bees who are excellent honey makers that are very passive and not as prone to swarming as some other bee options we had.
